Norah O'Donnell, Glam-Rock Queen
IF YOU LOOK UP the word "perfection" in the dictionary, a picture of NBC's Norah O'Donnell should pop up next to the definition. Television news has fine-tuned O'Donnell — a Georgetown University graduate and wife of chef Geoff Tracy of Chef Geoff's — so much so that it can be difficult to imagine that she's actually a real person. But she is and she showed up to present an award at last night's Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington's awards dinner. And look at what we have here: O'Donnell's interpretation of the "glam-rock" dress-up theme. The white get-up and sunglasses might place her in the Hollywood Hills circa 1972. Express fashion guru Kristen Page-Kirby describes it as Elvis-meets-"The Ice Storm." We'll let you make jokes about any possible glam-rock key parties at the Marriott Wardman Park during last night's torrential rains.
Bonus: It's also half-price wine night at Chef Geoff's. Drink up!

TASTE THE DIFFERENCE? Apparently, last year's hurricanes have forced Tropicana to change the formula of its ruby red grapefruit juice because of the lack of grapefruits. And maybe, they hoped nobody noticed. Wrong. From EricGooch.com we find out that "what used to say 'Grapefruit Juice from Concentrate' now says 'Flavored Juice Blend from Concentrate.'" We don't drink grapefruit juice, so this doesn't affect us, but it might affect you. Have you noticed a post-Dennis/Katrina/Tammy/Wilma difference? [Eric Gooch via The Consumerist]

VIDEO OF THE DAY, NO. 1: Some people take minor league baseball very seriously. Watch as a team manager, Asheville, N.C.'s Joe Mikulik goes nuts and throws bases. Is this what the future has in store for Nationals general manager Jim Bowden? Only time will tell. [ESPN via YouTube]
VIDEO OF THE DAY, NO. 2: Great, just what the world needs, a Paris Hilton music video. In "Stars Are Blind," she's running on the beach with waves crashing into her. Unfortunately, she isn't washed out to sea. [Google Video]

God help me, I love "Stars are Blind." In a non-ironic way, no less.
Still, someone should tell Paris that dry-humping a palm tree does not a good music video make.
