College Park Place

Photo by Lois Raimondo/The Washington Post.THOSE WHO ARE familiar with College Park know that city is a fairly mediocre place — somewhere between an identity-devoid suburban anywhere and an ugly abandoned mining town. But for those who call it home, are trying to forget that they once called it home, or want to keep abreast of ways to waste time between UMD classes, a new blog stays atop the latest CP updates. A perfect resource for those who, like us, are in a large betting pool to predict when the city will add its fourth bar.

JUST CAN'T DEAL WITH TIME MAGAZINE DURING WEEK THREE: Hey women, does reading depressing news really stress you out when, um, you might be more prone to being stressed out? We mean ... what we're trying to say is ... uh ... rather, what we're trying to convey tastefully is ... aw, nevermind, there doesn't appear to be a way to allude to the gist of Four Weeks Magazine, the online mag that purports to separate content into categories that fit the various weeks of the monthly female hormonal cycle. Because we are not female, we have no idea what criteria they use for this. In fact, the whole idea sort of scares us, as people are often scared by things they do not understand. [FourWeeksMag]

  • Am I the only female who is pretty disgusted that someone thinks I need an online magazine to deal with my hormonal cycle? Or, better yet, that the topics that would help me deal with my hormones the best are "shopping," "food" and "travel" (I will reserve judgement on "DIY" because I don't really know what they mean by that)?

Can women not read about politics or sports or other substantial things because they are SO overwhelmed by their debilitating amount of hormones, which they will freely use as an excuse for everything, including being self-centered and rude?

I think that fourweeksmag.com proves that women can be their own worst enemies sometimes.
