Evolutionary Justice

Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty ImagesFROM TIME TO TIME, this writer takes a look at the blog of court room sketch artist Art Lien, who posts some of his sketches — in recent months he's depicted Carlos Green (the guy charged with charging through a Capitol Hill security barricade while armed) and Colin Finnerty (of the Duke University lacrosse team rape scandal). Although the Supreme Court, pictured here, is in session, Lein doesn't expect to sketch anything until next month. But that doesn't mean he can't pre-sketch the visitors gallery in advance. The justices will be filled in later. Here, a work in progress.

» IT'S A DANGEROUS WORLD: In the District, we know to look out for roving bands of youth on Friday and Saturday night who want to rob us when we're out and about on the dimly lit streets of Ward 1. At least we're not in London, where a group of more than 20 men attacked three high-ranking officials from the Democratic Republic of Congo, including President Joseph Kabila's chief of staff, whose clothes were stolen were later posted on the Internet, oddly enough. » GET THEM TOTEMS: The game is in Japanese, but pretty easy to play, if you can click all the "totems" (we think they look more like Easter Island's Moai statues) before they disappear and reappear all over the place. Go forth and waste the rest of your Friday afternoon. [VivaLaGames via Metafilter]
