Eating Around: Lamb for the Holidays
YOU DON'T HAVE to jockey at the butcher counter for the centerpiece of a spring or Easter meal. Virginia Lamb, the stand run by Janet and Corey Childs, above, supplies grass- and hay-fed, free-range lambs year-round at Dupont Circle's market and will sell at Arlington's market beginning April 7. Cuts include loin chops, tenderloin, leg, rib roast and rack of lamb, among others, in addition to homemade lamb sausages.
Customers can place orders beforehand by phone or in person and pick them up on market days.
