THIS SUNDAY, join D.C. chefs at Acadiana for "An Invitation to the Southern Table" to benefit the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, a work-in-progress based in New Orleans that will exhibit food and drink of the 16 Southern states as well as the producers, farmers, chefs, cooks and culture that bring Southern cuisine to the nation's tables.
On hand to prepare the feast is Ann Cashion (Johnny's Half Shell, Cashion's Eat Place), Jeffrey Buben (Bistro Bis, Vidalia), and Jeff Tunks (Acadiana), pictured, as well as chefs Louis Osteen from Louis at Pawley's in Pawley's Island in South Carolina and Linton Hopkins from Restaurant Eugene in Atlanta.
The $100-per-person ticket includes an open bar with signature Southern drinks such as the Mint Julep and the Sazarac. All proceeds go to the museum, scheduled to open this fall.
