A Chilly Start Today, but Warm Halloween Expected

COLD ENOUGH FOR YA? All of those folks you heard grousing about last week's warm temperatures have certainly gotten their wish on these past few chilly mornings.

The next few days, however, bring a little something for everybody, Capital Weather reports: including warmer-than-normal days and frosty nights.

Highs today are expected to reach into the upper 60s under "brilliant sunshine," the site's forecasters say, so bring out the sunglasses. And a coat, too, if you'll be out late — overnight lows will dip into the 30s and 40s. Which should make this evening's high heel race in Dupont Circle all the more entertaining. (The race starts at 9 p.m. on 17th Street NW.)

The warming is expected to continue for Halloween on Wednesday, with daytime temps hitting the low 70s and evening lows in the mid- to upper 50s.
