AFTER MEETING Jennifer Walker at Georgetown grad school orientation in 2003, Patrick McLaughlin took a chance: "She told me she was a big football fan, so I invited her to come to Rhino Bar to watch the Eagles game," he says. "She was the first girl I invited to watch football with me and my friends."

She went, they hit it off, and it was two and a half years later that Pat proposed at sunset on Sunset Beach, N.C. "It's a good thing I didn't tell him I didn't even know Philadelphia had a football team until I met him," Jennifer admits. "We probably wouldn't be getting married." Well, the truth is out, and she needn't worry.

Eagles fan or not, she will walk down the aisle to Patrick on April 12. They'll wed in a Catholic ceremony in her hometown of Indianapolis before jetting off on a 10-day honeymoon in the Riviera Maya on Mexico's east coast.

Both Patrick, 29, and Jennifer, 27, graduate from the George Washington School of Medicine in May and will begin pediatric internships. They live in Courthouse.
