As Good an Excuse as Any: Brunch at the Red Derby

Map It:  Columbia Heights

20080523-derby.jpgWHILE DRINKING ALOCHOL the morning after a bash is known to cure a hangover, it's still not proven whether A.M. boozing in the same bar as the night before will improve your chances of wellness. Run your own test at the Red Derby, where mimosas, Bloody Marys and Harvey Wallbangers (the '70s classic with vodka, Galliano and orange juice) are just two bucks when you order brunch.

The whole-wheat French toast sticks retain a crunch on the outside and stay soft in the middle. If you're torn between breakfast or lunch, don't hesitate to order the morning burger, a tender beef patty topped with a sunny-side-up egg and served with tater tots.

  • So I've been up to you and 80's place probably 20 times and we've never gone here? Really? Put it on the 'list' please.
