Red Is Scary: 'The Manchurian Candidate'
AFI SILVER THEATRE is currently hosting United Artists' 90th Anniversary Film Festival and offers up a chance to see "The Manchurian Candidate" on the big screen.
"The whosa-what?" all the youngsters query.
Well, kids, it's a famous film made by John Frankenheimer in 1962, based on the book by Richard Condon and stars Frank Sinatra, Laurence Harvey and Janet Leigh. For the extra sweet trailer, click here.
That's all you need to know. Oh, and that it involves brainwashing by those darned Commies. Get red-scared all weekend long — there are screenings on both Saturday and Sunday.
