B.I.O.: This I Promise You ...

20080808-bio-n-t.jpgHOW DO YOU catch a Catholic University cutie's attention? If you're Todd O'Neil, the answer is easy: Pound on her dorm room door. When she opens it, ask her if she'd like to buy tickets to see her fave boy band. As Nina Caccioppoli stood in line with Todd at the Verizon Center, she guessed "Todd might have been more of a Nina fan than an 'N Sync fan." She was right: Todd's thought on that fateful November 2000 day was "I hope she likes me." It turns out she did, though it was a year and half before their first "date" at Dupont's Fuzio. Six years later, Todd went to Nina's door with an agenda of a different sort. He left her a note, instructing her to meet him on their alma mater's campus. Forty-five minutes of D.C. rush hour traffic later, Nina found him on his designated bench, where he popped the question. "I really was shocked and so excited," she says. They'll wed Aug. 16 on Capitol Hill. "This is the first wedding I have ever gone to," says Todd.

Nina, 26, works for the American Association of Museums. Todd, 25, teaches at Watkins Elementary. They live in D.C.
