A Delicates Situation: 'The Underpants'

IT'S A PREDICAMENT that Britney Spears knows all too well: A guy sees you in your bloomers, and suddenly he thinks you're attainable. That's what happens to poor Louise Maske after she accidentally drops her drawers at a parade for the king in Steve Martin's play "The Underpants."

Not only are Louise and her pencil-pusher husband, Theo, horrified, they're also deluged with would-be suitors — some of whom wind up living in their house. The madcappery only escalates from there.
