In a new Web video, Zac Efron hosts a star-studded pool party that dissolves quickly when his rude uncle arrives. The FunnyOrDie.com video also features Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens, Justin Long, Lance Bass, Queen Latifah and Carmen Electra. The video, posted Wednesday, was rapidly turning viral, with more than 193,000 people viewing it as of early afternoon. (Watch the video here.)

The mayor of an Italian town shaken by Monday's earthquake says Madonna has promised $500,000 to help people in need. Two of the singer's grandparents were born in the town, Pacentro, which was not hit hard by the quake. The money will help harder-hit areas.

Whitney Houston is countersuing her stepmother for $1.6 million, claiming that Barbara Houston has failed to make payments on the New Jersey condo where she lives. Barbara Houston initiated the legal tussle last year when she claimed Houston kept proceeds from her father's insurance policy.

BODYGUARDS SHIELD PUBLIC FROM BLINDING CELEBRITY SUNTANS
Costa Rican police are investigating claims by two photographers that they were shot at by bodyguards at the wedding of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Agence France-Presse photographer Yuri Cortes and Rolando Aviles of Costa Rican newspaper Al Dia claim Bundchen's bodyguards tried to seize their cameras' memory cards and shot at their car as they drove away. Nobody was hurt. Bundchen and Brady were married Saturday in Santa Theresa, a coastal town. Don Yee, Brady's agent, says security personnel reported no knowledge of the incident.
