Beauty Is Truth: 'See What I Want to See'
THIS WEEKEND: Truth is subjective; every English major knows that. And said subjectivity is made very, very clear in "See What I Want to See," a fairly new musical making its D.C. debut at the Signature Theatre.
While the first act is an intriguing (if somewhat stilted) adaptation of "Rashomon," the second is an extraordinary original piece about losing and gaining faith. Both acts grapple with the slippery nature of truth and feature a challenging original score.
» Signature Theatre, 4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington; through May 31, $62-$77; 703-820-9771.
