Courtney, 27, is an event planner at Conservation International. Ray, 31, is an aerospace engineer at Boeing. They live in Arlington.

» The Main Event: On April 26, the couple will wed on Long Island with Ray's friend Josh officiating. "He's done five other weddings for friends and brings the house down. There won't be a dry eye in the place," Ray says.
» How They Met: Ray grew up with Courtney's college roommate, Sarah. When he moved to D.C. in 2005, he started spending time with Sarah and Courtney, who shared his love of the Yankees. "I had a crush on him since May of that year, but it took him until August to make a move," Courtney says.
» First Date: Watching a Yankees game at a Dupont Circle bar.
» How He Proposed: In Chicago for Courtney's 27th birthday. Ray dropped to one knee by the water. When she said yes, passers-by stopped to cheer.
» Stupidest Fight: How to make shepherd's pie. "We were both really hungry, and the recipe took way longer than we expected," Courtney says.
» Pet Names: "I call him H.B., for Honey Bear." "I call her Puddin' Snack."
» Making It Unique: Guests will release butterflies when the pair are announced husband and wife.
