B.I.O.: In Perfect Harmony

Lauren DeFranco, Alex ChristianBoth Lauren DeFranco and Alex Christian had had it up to here with their accounts on eHarmony.com. When he signed on to cancel his, he noticed her profile, sent her a message containing his personal e-mail address, and then canceled his account. They e-mailed for weeks before meeting up at a pizza place in Scottsdale, Ariz. "This is someone I could spend the rest of my life with," Alex remembers thinking after that first date. "I knew he was 'the one,'" Lauren says.

When he eventually popped the question, Lauren knew what was coming. "I was reading B.I.O. on the Metro and got a strong feeling he was going to propose. When Alex walked in the door [later], we were both grinning."

Lauren, 27, is a PR professional. Alex, 27, is a business analyst. They'll marry June 27 at a Northern Virginia vineyard.
