David, 26, is a project manager. Elizabeth, 23, is a administrative and development associate. They live in Washington.

» The Main Event: More than 200 guests will witness the couple's Oct. 3 union in Point Pleasant, N.J., in the Catholic church where Elizabeth went to grammar school.

» How They Met: The two grew up in the same small New Jersey town but went their separate ways. Then, when they'd both moved to D.C. for separate reasons, they bumped into each other at the Ballston Metro stop. "I called out his name, he turned around, and we ended up exchanging phone numbers right there."

» First Impressions: "Liz was this bubbly little fireplug that had too much energy, but I soon realized that she was just happy."

» First Date: Tapas in Georgetown.

» How He Proposed: At the Lincoln Memorial on a chilly December day. He pulled off her glove to propose; she thought he was cold and offered him the pair.

» Making It Unique: One of Liz's best friends will sing and another will accompany on bongos at the wedding.

» Family Traditions: "Just lots of Italian love," Elizabeth says. "Kisses on both cheeks and being told, 'You're so beautiful. God bless you.'"
