Heidi, 26, is an executive assistant. Adam, 27, is a political consultant. They live in Washington.

» The Main Event: They're saying "I do" Sept. 12 in D.C. "I'm really looking forward to the honeymoon because we've never been on a vacation together," Adam adds.

» How They Met: Heidi's friend introduced her to an ex, which was Adam. The three got dinner together at Las Placitas in Eastern Market.

» First Impressions: "I know there were three of us there, but all I can remember is my conversation with Heidi."

» First Date: She says tapas and a movie, since that's the first date he asked her on. He says their first date was a "series of events" that included "my telling her to buy a little black dress and meet me at Finn McCool's that night."

» How He Proposed: Near the C&O Canal in Georgetown. "I don't even remember what he said, but I remember saying yes, and kissing him and then being yelled at by a homeless man across the canal to 'get a room.'"

» Stupidest Fight: His socks get all over the floor. "Occasionally, my socks get mixed in," Heidi says, "and when I go to my part-time job, I get incredibly pissed if I can't find any that match."

» When He Knew: "By the end of the first week we were dating. I told people."
