Liz, 23, is an office coordinator. Adam, 24, is a high school teacher. They live in Arlington.

» The Main Event: An evening candle-lit ceremony Oct. 16 in St. Paul, Minn., with 175 family members and friends in attendance. Liz will walk down the aisle to "She Is Love" by local Virginia band Parachute. Two days later, they'll have a traditional Vietnamese ceremony.

» How They Met: In college in Duluth, Minn. He asked her to join his softball team, and she agreed — "but I never showed up to a single game!" "I ended up asking her to dinner, and we realized we had a lot in common," Adam says.

» First Date: Dinner and a movie ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin").

» How He Proposed: On the day before Valentine's Day, he surprised her with a dinner cruise. The band mentioned that Adam had a "special announcement." "Assuming that they were announcing some other Adam, I continued heading to our table," Liz says, but he led her to the dance floor and proposed right there.

» Most-Hated Clothing Item: Her sweater "she insists is long enough to wear as a dress"; his "old-man shoes."

» Stupidest Fight: Over how much to tip a cabdriver. "I guess I always overtip," Liz says.

» With Unlimited Funds: She'd splurge on letterpress invites; he'd hire the Dave Matthews Band for the reception.
