  • If I am a lemon licking communist liberal lemming then yes. They need the Dear Leader to tell them what is good. Let's get REAL America back. Deport all those lemmings.

  • No. I've found that over the years, some of the worst shows on television have been emmy winners. I like to make up my own mind about things.

  • Nice try Diogenes. Saul Alinsky would be proud. I am not a loon that gets up that early or stays up that late because I have A JOB. You really should try it sometime instead of being over 40 years of age and still living off of mommy in her home. If a show wins an Emmy then I am less likely to watch it because these shows are usually pretty boring.

  • As ussual, I agree with Common Kevin

  • Just because the show won an emmy, does not mean the subject matter appeals to me. Therefore, it would not be a priority and if watched at all, would be when the regular season is over.

  • Nope. When I watch TV I'll watch what I like not what everyone else thinks I should like.

  • Only if the Emmy-award-winning show was approved by Kanye West.

Can we PLEASE go back to talking about Dan Brown's navel -- I mean, his novels?

With all the things going on in the world (double-crossing our allies in Poland and the Czech Republic, while giving Russia a unilateral gift, for instance), it is so refreshing to see just how the Express staff views its readers!

  • I never based my TV viewing on how many awards they win. I watch shows that capture my interest, and have something that 40 other shows don't have. That being said 2 shows I enjoyed in the past, Arrested Development and Pushing Daisies, won multiple emmys, but both got axed due to low ratings. It's another example of the old saying "No Accounting For Taste!"

  • I agree with Nancy. I guess there is a first time for everything.

  • If you need someone to tell you what is good or not on TV, you are no better then your kids and should have parental control.

    By oxtus , Posted September 18, 2009 1:10 PM
  • I don't even know when the Emmys take place. Do people still care what critics think? Recent box office trends would say otherwise.

    By Yep , Posted September 18, 2009 1:55 PM
  • No, but I will use an Emmy win to justify to my spouse or friends (and maybe, I suppose, even myself) that the shows I like are in fact good.

  • If I'm a lime licking hatemongering, fascist, commie right-wing conservacon, then yes.
