  • Not in the slightest. It's a free service, no different than MSN or Yahoo, neither of which stores any less than Google does. If you're afraid, don't use the service, period.

  • No, I don't worry; but, it is a little frightening to think about how much information is available on the web about everyone. Recently, I looked up some people that I hadn't seen in twenty years or more. I found their addresses, telephone number and the name of the person they had married. I was able to get in touch with every one of them.

  • I don't understand why Google doesn't face anti-trust scrutiny like Mircosoft. The EU dost much better oversight/regulation than here in the US.

  • Actually, I think it's kind of creepy.
    Of course, there's Google Earth where, with the street cameras you can potentially see into the windows of unsuspecting individuals homes or what's hanging on their clothesline and what car they drive. At least they've started to blur license plates.

  • Why worry? For anywhere between $10-50, I can buy your credit header (name address, phone, etc) off of any number of websites that look people up for you. Google is nto the only site tracking information on people.
